Schedules and cadences

Two cadences

• Deep soak: infrequent, for deep roots. You can switch it on or off per zone, and its interval and depth are adjustable number entities.
• Routine irrigation: lighter and more frequent.

A completed deep soak also counts as the routine watering, so the routine interval restarts from it.

When they run

Each cadence can run at a fixed clock time, or relative to the sun. With sunrise or sunset scheduling, either cadence can fire a set number of minutes before or after sunrise or sunset instead of at a fixed time.

Live tuning

Every threshold is a number entity you can change from the dashboard. These include the pulse count and soak time per cadence, dry-down days, the deep-soak interval and depth, weekly targets per tier, rain efficiency, forecast thresholds and the runtime caps.

Running now or skipping

• Run a cadence immediately with zoneflow.run_deep_soak or zoneflow.run_routine_irrigation. They go through the same gates as the schedule. See Services.
